High Desert 100 - May 2025
We kicked off the 2025 YORR season at The High Desert 100 in Powell, WY. This was the race last year, that we totaled the CanAm- so we went into this race crossing our fingers for a much better outcome- which is was!
Yorr added a new section to the track this year, and the guys seemed to really enjoy it!
Christian and Austin both did qualifying on Friday and did well! No issues with either cars- they felt solid and ready for the races on Saturday!
Christian lined up a 8 AM Saturday with an 8:30 race. Christian raced another kid, driving a Mav R- and he really held his own! Although he was never passed, he ended up taking second with a 1/100,000th of a second difference! HUGE accomplishment for his first solo race!
Austin raced in the 1st UTV group. He left the line around 10:30 AM. He ended up finished 4 out of 20- with zero car problems! He said that the track was rough, but he settled in around lap 6 and had a blast running solo.
